Celebrity couple launch health beverage series

Co-founders Harith and Lim at the launch.

COMEDIAN Harith Iskander and his wife Dr Jezamine Lim have launched a health beverage series named Aemis, offering two products called Relazz and Probiome.

During the launch in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, Harith emphasised the impact of quality sleep on reducing stress.

“It is understandable yet concerning that many people have now come to accept stress as a necessary part of life, to the point of just living with it.

“Other than watching my shows, sleep is the next best way to keep the stress in life in check,” he jested.

“Not only does your body rest and recover, it also gives your mind a much-needed reset after a day.

“Good quality sleep gives us mental clarity, and with that, anything is possible,” said Harith, who is also an entrepreneur and father of three.

Equally important to one’s well-being is one’s eating habits, said Lim, who holds a doctorate in stem cells and tissue engineering.

“The stomach acts as a secondary mind, and our mental state throughout the day is very much influenced by it.

“A balanced diet will balance your emotions as well.

“Whatever we consume will affect our immunity, growth and metabolism, that is why a well-planned diet is important.

“While there is a wide set of issues to tackle for the modern Malaysian, we have identified that sleep quality and gut health are the most broadly applicable solutions to many of the health problems that we face,” she added.

Besides Lim, a panel of nutritionists, healthcare and medical experts worked on the formulation of the products which they had created to help with quality of sleep and digestive health.
