THE water supply recovery in the affected areas in Hulu Selangor had reached 14.4% as of Wednesday noon (Aug 10).
Twenty-seven out of the 188 areas received their water supply.
They are Ampang Pecah, Jalan Pahang Kuala Kubu Baru, Taman Millenium Kuala Kubu Baru, Darul Quran Kuala Kubu Bharu, Taman Keruing, Taman Widuri, Bandar Baru Lembah Beringin, Kampung Orang Asli Bukit, Manchung, Pusat Perindustrian Zurah, Kerling, Maktab Polis Diraja Malaysia, Desa Rening Jaya, Taman Tempua Bestari, Kampung Melayu Rasa Tambahan, Kampung Orang Asli Kerling, Taman Damai Utama, Taman Gamelan, Taman Kesumba, Industri Perabot Ulu Yam, Kampung Paya Dalam, Perkampungan Darul Atiq, Kampung Sungai Damar, Taman Bukit Bujang, Kampung Orang Asli Buluh Telur, Bukit Beruntung, Bukit Beruntung (Persiaran Semarak) and Prima Beruntung.
Air Selangor Corporate communications head Elina Baseri, in a statement, advised consumers to let the tap flow until it is clear before use.
Air Selangor had said the water disruption was due to asset upgrading and maintenance works at the Sungai Rasa Water Treatment Plant.
It said duration of the water supply recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the location and distance of consumers’ premises.
Water supply is expected to be fully restored at 8am Thursday (Aug 11).
