Beautyexpo and Cosmobeaute Malaysia are making a return after a two-year break.

Scheduled to be held from Sept 28 to Oct 1 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the trade show is supported by Association of International Certified Aesthetician (AICA), Federation of Asian Beauty Industry Association (Fabia), Malaysia Cosmetology Chamber of Commerce (PAMM), Malaysian Hairdressing Association (MHA), United Asian Hairdressers Association (UAHA) as well as Hair & Cosmetology Association Singapore (Hacos).

Beautyexpo and Cosmobeaute Malaysia anticipate equal demand from local and international exhibitors to participate in the exhibition.

Informa Markets country general manager (Malaysia) Gerard Willem Leeuwenburgh is optimistic that Beautyexpo and Cosmobeaute Malaysia will provide a tremendous opportunity to industry players.

“This is significant to reinvigorate the beauty industry and spur economic growth, and we are pumped up to reconnect the community,” he said.

AICA founder and president Prof Dr Ng Wee Kiong said, “Despite the disruption of the Covid-19 pandemic, I believe there is growth potential to spur the beauty industry’s recovery.”

Fabia president and PAMM chairman Alvin Loh believes the effort to unite association members will be “an eye- opening experience”.

MHA and UAHA president Dr Michael Poh said beauty industry players were coping with the recovery and business challenges, adding that the pandemic “allowed us to rethink and reset business strategies”.

Hacos founder Simon Lee said Beautyexpo and Cosmobeaute Malaysia played a crucial role in meeting the beauty industry’s demand and was proud to support the trade show.

Beautyexpo and Cosmobeaute Malaysia will collaborate with official media partners, magazines Sisters and Beauty Trend, which exclusively launched the inaugural SIS Beauty Talk.

Among event highlights are a nail competition known as the Malaysia Glory Cup organised by YouShine, which will feature seven categories with almost 20 judges from Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.

There will also be a barber and hair competition by Andis & BaBylissPro ambassadors, which promises to show off hair cutting skills and market barber shops and salon brands.

A hair show will be presented by eight passionate and young hairstylists.

There will also be a series of educational activities by Fabia and PAMM.

“It is important to collaborate with industry players.

“Beautyexpo and Cosmobeaute Malaysia are ready to soar your business to greater heights as well as offer latest industry trends and innovative insights,” concluded Leeuwenburgh.
