Garden homes project in Iskandar Puteri on track

Eco Galleria is hosting its first Christmas and New Year celebrations until Jan 2.

ECO World Development Group Bhd is expecting to complete its double-storey housing development dubbed “The Borough” at Eco Botanic 2 in 2025.

Eco World Development Bhd divisional general manager Phan Yan Chan said the Covid-19 pandemic had not affected the project’s development following rescheduling work by the developer.

“So far, everything is on track,” he told reporters at the Eco Botanic Christmas and New Year celebration at Eco Galleria in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.

Phan said Eco Botanic 2 was launched in March this year with 99% of its The Tate development sold in phase one.

“Currently, we are in phase two. This time our focus is more on the garden homes, where each semi-detached house will have a garden attached,” he added.

The 80.9ha project is located next to the maiden township of EcoWorld, Eco Botanic, that was launched in 2013.

The development is slated to complement the luxury offerings of Eco Botanic and broaden Eco World’s market segment in Iskandar Puteri.

“While Eco Botanic is a gated and guarded luxury development catering mainly to the upgrader market, Eco Botanic 2 is crafted for another important target market – first-time homeowners and the M40 group,” said Phan.

He added that Eco Botanic 2’s latest offering was the Brom-borough precinct, with freehold double-storey garden homes equipped with four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

“There are three spacious bedrooms, each with an en suite on the upper floor, which can easily accommodate a queen-sized bed while the fourth bedroom is on the ground floor.

“The ceiling height and sliding doors in the living area downstairs provide better natural lighting and contribute towards a lower carbon footprint, with a family hall upstairs,” he added.

Each home comes with 9.5ft (2.89m) of land on the side that can be converted into an indoor work-from-home space, an entertainment area, a children’s play area or even an outdoor dining or barbecue area.

The 30ft (9.14m) back lane gardens are a car-free zone and offer a safe space for children to play.

Residents can also enjoy indoor and outdoor living within a secure gated and guarded community, complete with 24-hour CCTV surveillance and auxiliary police on patrol.

Meanwhile, Phan said that Eco Galleria was hosting its first Christmas and New Year celebrations from now until Jan 2.

The “Christmas Around the World” celebrations will be open daily from 11am to 10pm and will feature specially curated entertainment inspired by international attractions in London, Taiwan and South Korea.

Visitors can view the tallest Christmas tree in Johor Baru at 18.3m as well as the opportunity to participate in games, art and craft workshops, horse-riding and more.

Other attractions include the London Arcade Street Christmas Bazaar and Summer Snow Park which will showcase a 6m-high indoor snow slide and an ice-skating rink.
