Power cut in Gelang Patah tomorrow

AN eight-hour power disruption in areas in Gelang Patah, Iskandar Puteri near Johor Baru is scheduled from 10am to 6pm tomorrow.

Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) Johor director Mohamed Noh Md Seth said the planned power outage in Gelang Patah was to improve supply reliability with the installation of new equipment.

After this, affected consumers can expect faster restoration when unplanned outages occur in the future, he said in a statement.

Some 4,000 consumers are expected to be affected and notice of the disruption has been announced through advertisements in select print media.

The notice was also uploaded on TNB’s website and official TNB Facebook CareLine.

The affected areas are the residential blocks of Tanjung Kupang Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Complex (CIQ), Denai Nusantara Apartment, Persiaran Denai, Denai Nusantara and shoplots in Jalan Denai, Denai Nusantara.

Others areas are Oriental Steel Pipe Sdn Bhd, STP Gerbang Nusajaya, Kampung Orang Asli Simpang Arang and Melia Residences Gerbang Nusajaya.

“We regret the inconvenience caused,’’ Noh said, adding that TNB’s technical team would do its best to minimise the duration of downtime.
