IN a move to continuously elevate the status of women, the Penang government has increased the previous allocation of RM1mil to RM2.5mil to the Penang Women’s Development Corporation (PWDC) this year.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said that since 2011, the state had been giving increasing attention to women’s development including adopting gender inclusiveness.
