Development order for Taman Rimba Kiara project null and void, Court of Appeal rules

PETALING JAYA: The Court of Appeal on Wednesday (Jan 27) decided that the development order (DO) granted for the Taman Rimba Kiara project is null and void.

The decision was made unanimously via an online Zoom session by the Court of Appeal panel comprising three judges.

Previously, the DO was obtained in 2017 by the joint venture of a foundation and a private developer to develop Taman Rimba Kiara.

According to a statement by Taman Tun Dr Ismail Resident Association (TTDIRA), the Court of Appeal had issued an order of certiorari quashing the development order.
