THE lifting of interstate travel ban has accelerated the state government’s move to promote Penang as a diverse destination which has all the attractions of the world.

With the theme ‘Experience it all in Penang, Responsibly’, the state tourism and creative economy committee has embarked on a campaign to put Penang on the map as a place of world-class attraction and experiences.

“There are 14 similar experiences available in other parts of the world that you can experience in Penang.

“The Penang Hill funicular train to Hong Kong’s Peak Tram, The Top Penang’s Rainbow Skywalk to China’s Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge or Penang’s Escape Adventureplay to Singapore’s Forest Adventure, to name a few.

“The campaign is focused on reminding domestic tourists that they can travel around the world, locally, while supporting local

businesses and the community to survive during these tough times, ” said committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin when launching the campaign on Tuesday.

Earlier, Yeoh unveiled the ‘Penang Responsible Tourism’

outdoor advertisements on Rapid Penang bus and a bus shelter along Lebuh Light.

He added: “With the Christmas and New Year holidays around the corner, get the best value- for-money deals by visiting penagtraveldeals.com.

“The website is a one-stop shop for all vacation needs, attractions, hotels, tours, and food and lifestyle, with a newly-added ‘Best Year End Deals’ that offer fantastic festive promotions.”
