The Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding Box will brighten up your Sundays.

NO Eyed Deer restaurant’s delicious takeaway offerings give one a compelling reason to continue dining at home.

The Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding Box is now available every Sunday. It is hearty enough for two to three persons and is priced at RM100.

Enjoy a tender cut of roast striploin alongside three Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, French beans and brown gravy.

“We received an overwhelming response when we offered it as a larger Mother’s Day family box recently, ” said co-proprietor Ken Low, who runs the place in Penang with business partner Elfina Ng.

“Many requested smaller portions and we were glad to oblige.

“By the time you take this dish home, the meat would’ve had sufficient time to rest and remains juicy.”

The restaurant’s signature Laotian Laksa which won the George Town Festival 2017’s Laksa of the Region Competition is now also available at RM14 (beef) and RM11 (chicken).

Otherwise, go for Hainanese Chicken Chop which is a deboned fried drumstick drenched in distinctive gravy. Low got the classic recipe from a Hainanese friend.

Rustic-style Fish and Chips is also tasty.

Low said, “We wrap it in paper just like how it’s enjoyed in the UK or Australia. This allows the fish to breathe and prevents it from getting soggy.”

The Shepherd’s Pie with minced lamb and a fluffly mashed potato top is sure to satiate appetities.

The chicken, fish and pie are all priced at RM19 each. Completing the offerings are Coffee Jelly and Pickled Achar, both priced at RM9.

“These are our most popular items and hold up well for take-aways. We’ll be adding new options frequently. Follow our Facebook page or website for updates, ” Low added.

Due to the Covid-19 uncertainty, only takeaways are available for the time being. Collection hours are noon to 2pm, and 5pm to 7pm daily (closed on Tuesdays). Last orders are at 6pm.

For the beef, it is advisable to order 24 hours in advance. For all other items, call 30 minutes ahead.

Visit takeaway-menu.html or www. for more information or call 016-417 1417 to order.
