ALMOST 45 years since Rukun Tetangga neighbourhood committees (RTs) were established in the country, they still remain relevant to foster unity in our multiracial society, said Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.

He said RTs, introduced by Tun Abdul Razak Hussein in 1975, currently serve as the backbone of the country’s unity spirit, apart from that achieved through mutual respect and loving attitude among people of different religions and races in the country.
