Flash floods hit Subang Jaya after downpour


AN evening downpour caused many parts of Subang Jaya to be hit by flash floods.

At least three cars were trapped in a flash flood along Persiaran Kewajipan during rush hour traffic on Thursday (Aug 15).

A viral video shows cars floating as the water was rising in front of the Subang Jaya police station in USJ 8.

Water also rose along other parts of Persiaran Kewajipan, which includes the front of Summit USJ, Da Men Mall, USJ 7 LRT station, Persiaran Subang Permai outside Giant USJ, Mydin Mall in USJ 1 as well as near SMK USJ 12.

Photo of trees uprooted were also being circulated.

The Subang Jaya Municipal Council has yet to comment.
