JOHOR BARU: Johoreans can now enjoy the convenience of shopping in just a simple click with the Click and Collect Service.

Retailer Aeon Co. (M) Bhd are collaborating with online concierge and delivery service honestbee to introduce what is said to be the first Click and Collect service with drive-through lane at Aeon Bukit Indah.

The service, which has been in operation since earlier this month, allows shoppers to buy groceries online through the honestbee app or website and to collect them at the kiosk or drive-through lane at Aeon Bukit Indah.

Aeon managing director Shinobu Washizawa said this was just their first step in modernising the shopping experience.

“This is just the beginning, and we plan to expand the list of items available online and to launch the service at other Aeon branches in the near future,” he said after launching the service at the outlet.

He added that shoppers could either pick up the items from a self-pick up kiosk at Aeon Bukit Indah or have it delivered to their door steps between 11am to 9pm, seven days a week.

“The advancement in technology and digitalisation has seen consu­mers, especially millennials, leading different lifestyles in recent years where they prefer online shopping for a convenient and seamless experience.

“We are actively looking for ways to offer our customers a wholesome experience in both physical and online shopping,” he said.

Meanwhile, honestbee country general manager Pulkit Manchanda said the new service would be a solution for those pressed for time to choose and queue for their groceries.

“One of the key drivers for the success of the online sector is convenience.

“This new service will not only benefit Johoreans but also people from neighbouring Singapore as they can conveniently pick up their groceries when they visit Malaysia,” he said.

Prior to the Click and Collect Service, Aeon and honestbee have begun their partnership in January with the debut of its delivery service at Aeon’s flagship MidValley store in Kuala Lumpur.

The delivery service was later expanded to five other Aeon stores nationwide within five months. – By VENESA DEVI
