A Theme park here is welcoming all to its special Hari Raya celebration with various cost-saving packages also on offer.
Partnering with Petron, PLUS and Celcom for the first time, Movie Animation Park Studios chief operating officer Mohd Farid Abdul Aziz said Petron and PLUSMiles loyalty card members, and Celcom subscribers would be able to enjoy great savings while celebrating with their family and friends.
“Dubbed as ‘Funtasy Raya,’ the celebration offers both Petron Miles and PLUSMiles loyalty card holders discounted prices on admission tickets at RM45 for adults and RM40 for children and senior citizens upon ticket purchase at the counters.
“This promotion is only for walk-in visitors.
“And for only RM250, Celcom subscribers are entitled to four tickets (two adults and two children or senior citizens) with free gifts of either four limited edition t-shirts or tumblers,” he told MetroPerak during a media preview here.
Alternatively, Mohd Farid said that Celcom subscribers who needed hotel accommodation were also entitled to a superior room night stay at the Casuarina@Meru Hotel at a discounted rate of RM410, that comes together with four MAPS access tickets.
“This hotel stay and MAPS tickets promotion is only available on MAPS website by accessing mapsperak.com,.
“All these mentioned promotions are valid from June 16 to September 30,” he said, adding that members of the public should take this opportunity to visit MAPS, especially with the Perak state-level Hari Raya open house to be held at MAPS on the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Perak Mentri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu has earlier that the event would take place from 3pm to 6pm.
MAPS was chosen based on its convenient location, spacious area and comprehensive public amenities that can accommodate a large crowd.
“This will be the first time we are holding the open house at a theme park.
“We hope to change the perception that the place was not profitable with tepid response from visitors that by encouraging more activities to be held on site.
“Encouraging more patronage to the place with more interesting packages is what we will do,” he said, adding that people could also come and see for themselves what MAPS was all about.
“We hope people from all walks of life will attend and enjoy the facilities there.
“There would be performances by artistes and we expect about 20,000 people to attend the celebration,” he added.
