THE new Penang state exco line-up now shows a notable streamlining of local government administration and also has a dedicated exco member to look after heritage issues on top of tourism development.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow decided to merge the state Local Government Committee with the Housing as well as Town and Country Planning Committees under Jagdeep Singh Deo.
