FORMER leprosy patients were celebrated for their courage at the launch of a story gallery at the Sungai Buloh Leprosy Settlement.

This was notably different from how they were treated in the past when they were shunned and isolated by the public who were fearful of the disease that caused disfiguration and deformity.
