ARTISTS, art collectors and art galleries now have a digital platform to get connected and share their art with the launch of ArteSpree.

The brand new online art platform allows people in the art world to connect directly with one another in order to view and trade artwork, regardless of where they are in the world.

National Art Gallery director-general Prof Datuk Dr Mohamed Najib Ahmad Dawa was present to officially launch the platform, saying that it was the first of its kind here in Malaysia.

“The idea is to create a digital space for art creators, art galleries and art enthusiasts or collectors to meet, learn and transact,” said Centurise Group and ArteSpree group strategist Mi-Ki Choong.

The platform was created with the aim of democratising art through building awareness and access to greater audiences.

While the platforms operations will be based in Malaysia, the platform itself will be accessible to parties worldwide.
