Firing up the Merdeka mood

THE Merdeka month celebration kicked off at the SJK (T) Mak Mandin in Butterworth with pupils holding and waving mini Jalur Gemilang and singing patriotic songs during a special school assembly.

Many of the pupils were seen dressed in the traditional attire of various ethnic groups during the event organised by the school’s parent-teacher association (PIBG) and the Malaysia Hindudharma Mamandram.
