2,000 villagers stranded after bridge collapses


A timber bridge across Sungei Linei collapsed after the river swelled, cutting off the area.

MIRI: Four populated settlements with at least 2,000 residents have been cut off from the outside world as a log bridge across Sungei Linei collapsed following incessant downpours.

The affected settlements are Long Panai, Long Patan, Long Paloh and Long Ulok.
