Indulge in all things Japanese this weekend at the Japan Expo Malaysia 2017 (JEMY 2017) – and that includes Pikatoro of pineapple-apple song fame.

Held at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and Fahrenheit 88, the three-day event features Japan’s most iconic cultural symbols, music, anime, art, education, fashion, food, travel and live entertainment under one roof.

(From left) artiste Naomichi Hanazono, Thailand designer Kung Kunitar and shironuri artist Minori were among the popular personalities gracing the launch of Japan Expo Malaysia 2017 at Pavilion KL.

Organised by G-Yu Creative Company, JEMY 2017 coincides with the 6th anniversary celebration of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s Tokyo Street and the 60th anniversary of Japan-Malaysia diplomatic relations.

Visitors can look forward to an exhilarating experience as there will be a line-up of exciting performances at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur's concourse area.

Among the highlights is the meet-and-greet session with pop sensation Pikotaro, well-known for his viral song Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen or PPAP. He will be performing for the first time in Malaysia at the mall tomorrow (July 29).

Be ready to be star-struck with special performances and appearances by Japan’s artistes and teen idol groups, including Shigeru Matsuzaki, Maito from King Creamsoda, Ryoma Quartet, Naomichi Hanazono, Haruka Yamashita and Reno Kurosaki.
