KUCHING: Sarawak’s plans to intensify development in the Upper Rajang area must be integrated with biodiversity conservation to ensure sustainability, says WWF-Malaysia.
Its Sarawak programme leader Dr Jason Hon said environmental protection should be a component in the development master plan to be carried out by the new Upper Rajang Development Agency announced by Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg last week.
