Tonic to keep walkers going

EAGLE & Pagoda Brand Teck Aun Medical Factory Sdn Bhd, a leader in producing healthcare products, is teaming up again with Ipoh Starwalk 2017.

The company is sponsoring 15,000 packs of its flagship products for the upcoming walk.

Its director Oon Kee Loong said 5,000 sachets of Teck Aun Male Tonic, 5,000 sachets of Teck Aun Female Tonic and 5,000 packs of Teck Aun Chi Kit pills worth RM17,500 would be given out to participants.

“The male tonic pills have been used traditionally for backaches, fatigue and frequent urination,” Oon said at the Teck Aun Medical Factory in Bukit Minyak, Bukit Mertajam in Penang.

“The female tonic pills are good for regulating menstruation and vaginal discharges besides alleviating menstrual pain.

“As for the Chi Kit pills, they are used to treat stomachache, diarrhoea, vomiting, indigestion and motion sickness.

“All these products are available at pharmacies and we are proud that our traditional medicines are so widely recognised in this modern era.”

Oon said the company had been a loyal supporter of Starwalk over the years and was grateful to be sponsoring the healthy event again.

The 14th Ipoh Starwalk will be flagged off at the Perak Turf Club, the official venue provider for the event, in Jalan Raja Di Hilir at 7am on May 7.

The walk is organised by Star Media Group in collaboration with the Ipoh City Council, the Perak Education Department and the Perak Athletic Association.

The official hotel for the event is Weil Hotel.

The platinum sponsor istelecommunications company YES while the silver sponsors are Chek Hup Sdn Bhd, Counterpain, F&N, Federal Oats, Sports Toto, Sanctband and Julie’s biscuits.

Entry fee for the walk is RM13 per person inclusive of the goods and services tax.

The public can sign up at The Star’s Ipoh office at No 8 to 10, Lorong Chung Thye Phin, from 9am to 5pm (Monday to Saturday, except public holidays).

Registration closes on Friday or upon hitting 15,000 entries, whichever comes first.
