Stateless children to get birth certificates

SIBU: Stateless children who are receiving alternative education at Destiny for Children Centre (DCC) can now heave a sigh of relieve as the National Registration Department (NRD) will consider approving their applications for personal idenfication documents.

Welfare, Women and Community Wellbeing Minister Datuk Fatimah Abdullah said applications by 45 children from the centre for birth certificates had been processed by the department’s special task force.
