School takes pride in its green habit

STUDENTS and staff of SMK Convent Bukit Mertajam in Penang can be proud of themselves, having collected more than four tonnes of recyclable waste so far this year.

The 879 students and 55 staff members bring the waste from their homes on Wednesdays under an initiative started by the school’s Nature Lover’s Club more than eights years ago.
