The laughter of 60 children from Titian Kasih Shelter Home filled the room at the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) outlet as they were treated to a Hari Raya lunch by the management of Plaza Low Yat.
The children, between the ages of six and 12 years old, were welcomed by the Magician Balloon Clown, Frankie, and KFC Chicky upon arrival at Plaza Low Yat.
Frankie entertained the children by performing tricks and balloon art, drawing loud applause from them.
A surprise appearance by Marvel hero Iron Man made the children’s day and they could not contain their excitement while waiting for a photo opportunity.
Every child received a goodie bag with a new set of stationery, duit raya and a mini-block set.
Plaza Low Yat general manager Albert Khoo was seen guiding some children to use the mini-block set.
“Every child deserves to be free from worries.
“Today, we want them to have fun and enjoy the afternoon,” Khoo said.
Plaza Low Yat also has donated household and food items such as rice, cooking oil, detergent and instant noodles to the home.
The management has also lent a helping hand to senior citizens and refugees under other initiatives as part of its corporate social responsibility.
