RESPONSE has been overwhelming for The Star Outstanding Business Awards (SOBA) 2016’s first Learning Series workshop in Penang today.
Seats have been fully taken up for the event at The Star Pitt St. in George Town, aimed at grooming future business leaders and helping entrepreneurs take their businesses further.
Speaking at the workshop from 9am to 1pm today are Plus Solar Systems co-founder and executive director Ko Chuan Zhen and Datuk Michael Tio of PKT Logistics Group – both veteran SOBA entrepreneurs.
Joining them are Ambank commercial and wholesale banking head Yeow Swee Yun, Credit Guarantee Corporation senior vice- president of marketing and sales Wong Keet Leong, and Matrade northern regional director Badrul Hisham Hilal.
They will touch on topics ranging from the management of cash flow, to securing SME loans, tapping the global market and how to become another success story.
These would help keep SMEs abreast of current business trends, cope with mounting challenges, and show entrepreneurs how they must evolve with the times.
Besides driving excellence and success, sharing knowledge and sharpening business acumen, the workshops also offer participants an excellent opportunity for business and social networking.
