A new bus service is expected to commence operations in Kuching by the end of next year once the contract agreement is finalised between the Government and a local consortium.

Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri James Masing said the five existing stage bus operators in the city had formed a consortium to be the network operator for the new service, which is part of the Federal Government’s Stage Bus Service Transformation (SBST) programme.
