Selangor govt advised to set up enforcement unit

THERE is a need for a dedicated enforcement unit to clamp down on street vendors operating outside schools as the food stuff they sold were unhealthy, said Association of School Canteen Operators Malaysia (Ascom) president William Huee.

He asked that the Selangor government allow the 12 local authorities in the state to recruit at least 10 staff to oversee schools to ensure there were no street vendors.
