iM4U reaches out this weekend

Feel inspired this weekend by making a visit to the iM4U’s Reach Out Convention and Celebration 2016 in Kuala Lumpur aiming to empower and build resilient youth through engaging, unconventional and inspiring activities. 

Some 5,000 university students and the members of the public are expected to attend the finale of the celebration at iM4U Sentral, Puchong from 9.30am onwards tomorrow (April 9).

1Malaysia For Youth, or better known as iM4U, is a leading youth volunteerism platform in Malaysia that aiming to empower and build resilient youth through engaging, unconventional and inspiring activities. 

The programme first began in 2013, and have been conducted in Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Johor, Melaka and Kuala Lumpur.

“We are glad that Reach Out Convention and Celebration has become a platform for our youth to learn from the best. They can learn from speakers, who are leaders in their own field and from the performers, who have amazed us with their talents,” said its chief executive officer Rudy Malik. 

The lineup of speakers include motivator, author and comedian David Edward Garcia; Count Me In founder and chief executive optimist Shane Feldman; award-winning speaker and slam poet A’ric Jackson; youth motivator Joe Beckman; emcee and actress Davina Goh; music producer DJ Fuzz, and singer and rapper Joe Flizzow. 

Author, motivational speaker and Paralympic ski-racer Josh Sundquist will also speak at the Convention.  

Sundquist who was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer at the age of nine, which resulted in his left leg being amputated. 

“Everyone has experienced some hardship or problem. 
"So hopefully, when people hear my story and the things I have done in my life, they would then look at the problem in their lives and say ‘Perhaps there’s a different way that I can approach it," said Sundquist.

There will also be a photography exhibition, clothing bazaar and food trucks at the event site.
