KOTA KINABALU: The southwestern district of Sipitang is set to boom once the massive Sabah Ammonia Urea (Samur) project becomes operational later this year.

Samur’s economic spinoff on Sipitang is expected to be similar to the impact the Asean Bintulu Fertiliser Sdn Bhd (ABF) plant has had on Bintulu and the Petronas Fertiliser (Kedah) Sdn Bhd plant on Gurun.
