SIBU: THE United People’s Party (UPP) is distancing itself from speculation as to who in the party will get to stand in the coming state election.

UPP president Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh, who was attending an event to present scholarships from the party’s education fund at its Pelawan branch yesterday, said with the election nearing, he had heard of the speculation regarding “who would stand in which constituency and so on”.
