Red Crescent on 24-hour alert for CNY

FIVE Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) ambulances and 150 members are on 24-hour standby in Penang until Thursday to assist in emergencies.

MRCS Penang branch chairman Datuk B.J. Yeang said each ambulance is equipped with the Hospital Emergency Ambulance Radio Link for communication with other ambulances, government hospitals, St John Ambulance Malaysia, Civil Defence Department and other emergency medical services.
