Sarawak seeks less croc culling restrictions

KUCHING: The Sarawak government is still calling for relaxation on international crocodile culling and trade restrictions to help prevent fatalities.

“We are still talking to the relevant authorities. We want the downgrade,” second Resource Planning and Environment Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said yesterday, when asked about increasing public support for crocodile culling, following a series of widely reported croc attacks.
