Fatimah explains why school using old mattresses

KUCHING: A hitch in delivering new mattresses to SMK Sundar in Lawas led to students being given old and torn ones at the start of the school year, according to Datuk Fatimah Abdullah.

The Welfare, Women and Family Development Minister, who oversees education matters in the state, said she was informed that the school had ordered new mattresses for this year, which were supposed to arrive before school reopened.
