WHEN Swedish groom Christopher Tvarne and his Filipino bride Dianne Lane Co decided to begin their new journey in life together, they wanted to do it steeped in opulent tradition and history by holding a Baba Nyonya wedding ceremony.

Christopher, 31, an IT professional, said he wanted to have a Baba Nyonya wedding ceremony as his mother, a Penangite, who is a Peranakan descendant.
