PUBLIC FORUM

Penang Forum is organising ‘Save the Hills of Penang’ today from 1.30pm to 5.30pm at ground floor of Dewan Sri Pinang. The forum will discuss the continued hill destruction in the state, issue on mudslides, pollution of water catchment areas, loss of forests and threats to life and homes. PERFORMANCE

Watch the Wayang Koh Maak performance by the Ombak-Ombak Art Studio today at Kampung Siam in Pulau Tikus. Showtime is at 7.45pm and 9pm and each slot is 30 minutes. The dance is of a semi-story about the tale of the Siamese people in Penang, how they came and what is left of their villages. Admission is free but space is limited. FESTIVE MARKET

Soroptimist International Club of Penang will hold a Christmas market titled ‘The Magical Christmas Market’ from 10am to 7pm today at the Suffolk House in Penang. Seventy vendors will be selling items including baked goods, Christmas trinkets, books, toys, jewellery and clothes. There will also be carollers singing.
