Several areas in Petaling Jaya and Puchong were flooded following the two hour downpour earlier.
Among the affected area was the clock tower near the exit of Jalan Subang causing a massive crawl from Citta Mall.
Vehicles were cautiously making their way through the waters which had led to a backlog along NKVE from Damansara.
Motorists were advised to be patient and delay their journey back home to Klang, Shah Alam and Subang.
Flash floods were also reported in Puchong in front HSBC Puchong Jaya along Jalan Kenari 5, with ankle deep waters.
Kinrara assemblyman Ng Sze Han posted several photos on his Facebook page saying the waters were slowly receding.
Meanwhile in Petaling Jaya, the split road from Sprint Highway into Jalan Damansara beside Damansara Kim was struck by flood waters after a heavy downpour on Tuesday evening.
The flash flood has resulted in several vehicles trapped in the stagnant water.
The Petaling Jaya city council public relations officer Zainun Zakaria said the council has sent its Pantas team to help assist the situation.
Councillor Ong Swee Long said he was informed that a tree fell along SS20/24 due to the heavy downpour.
Flood waters in the area receded at 6pm while the council's landscape department later cleared the fallen tree.
