‘Reduce drowning risks among kids’

THERE should be an integrated multi-sectoral approach to prevent drowning which is among the 10 leading causes of death of children, Health Ministry director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said.

He said this was because a wide range of sectors influence drowning risks, including fisheries, maritime transport, disaster risk management, health and rural development.
