Heading in the wrong direction


THE move by certain groups to organise the massive “red shirt” rally in Kuala Lumpur on Sept 16 had dented the Malaysia Day celebrations, especially so since it was so racially charged.

The rally could have gone horribly wrong as there were individuals and clusters of participants who tried to provoke attacks against traders and members of the public.
