A total of 126 participants took part in the competition, jointly organised by the Penang Island City Council and the Penang Chess Association PCA).
Council’s corporate division director Mohamed Akbar Mustapha said there were four categories in the recent competition — Under-8, Under-10, Under-12 and Open Category (above 12).
