Superbikers from three nations to roll into Port Dickson in September

FOR the first time in Malaysia, the annual 3 Nation Charity Ride will be organised in the coastal town of Port Dickson from Sept 4 to 6.

Now in its 22nd year, the event remains the longest running and biggest gathering of superbikers in the South-East Asian region motoring calendar.

The charity ride, which has been organised yearly since 1994, is the biggest event on the regional biking calendar and is participated by thousands of riders of big capacity motorcycles from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and other countries in Asia.

It is held to raise funds for charity and bring bikers from across the borders together.

It has also set a national record and was listed in the Malaysia Book of Records for the largest superbike gathering in 2002.

Over the years, the event has raised more than RM1.5mil, which had been distributed to welfare homes identified by the respective host country. Last year, the event saw more than 1,800 bikers gathering in Hatyai, Thailand.

The 3 Nation Charity Ride event has been rolling from strength to strength since 1994 and is organised annually on rotation by one of four founding clubs, which are Super Biker Club Malaysia (SBCM), Penang Motor Sports Club, Team 27 Singapore ,and Team Hanuman Thailand.

This year, the event comes to Negri Sembilan, Malaysia, organised by the SBCM.

It will be held from Sept 4 to 6 with the Avillion Hotel Admiral Cove in Port Dickson as the official event hotel.

SBCM president Che Wan Mohamed Azuar said it was a great way to be part of the biggest and longest charity biking event and to network with various bikers and other clubs from the region.

This year will see a collaboration with the Negeri Sembilan Tourism Board annual PD International Bike Festival currently in its 13th year, hosted by Southern Dragons Motorcycle Club’s (SDMC), happening on the same weekend.

The festival is part of the calendar of events for Malaysia Year of Festivals 2015 (MyFest) and will feature bike merchandises and displays, games, hawker stalls, live music and entertainment.

The welcoming gathering will be held at the venue of PD International Bike Festival on Sept 4 while the charity gala dinner will be at Avillion Hotel Admiral Cove on Sept 5.

Registration fee is RM160 each including invitations to the gala dinner, and two T-shirts, among others.
