THE amount of garbage sent to the Ampang Jajar transfer station on mainland Penang recorded an increase following the Hari Raya period.
Seberang Prai Municipal Council (MPSP) president Datuk Maimunah Mohd Sharif said that on normal days, an estimated 1,100 tonnes of garbage from the island and mainland were received each day at the transfer station.
