The 3.2km circuit would begin in front of Suria KLCC before passing through Jalan Ampang, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan Perak and Jalan P Ramlee.
City dwellers are worried about the accessibility into the area, as well as the traffic congestion that would be caused by the spillover due to the road closures at the city centre, especially on August 7 which is a working day.
Organiser GT Global Race chief executive officer M.Arrasu said they have dedicated two hotlines for the public ; 24-hour traffic related queries (019-374 7774) and for those whose properties are affected (019-364 5888) which is open from 10am to 9pm.
“A traffic information centre would also be open from July 28 at Shangri-la Hotel Kuala Lumpur,” he said.
Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Mohd Amin Nordin Abd Aziz advised the public to take public transport.
“Parking to KLCC will still be accessible but perhaps those going to Jalan Ampang stretch should take the public transport.
“We have notified Prasarana and Land Public Transport Commission, and they will do the necessary arrangement to cater for the three day,” he said.
Also present during the briefing was GT Global Race chairman Tunku Naquiyuddin Tuanku Ja’afar, GT Global technical director Simon Gardini and Pakatan Trafik director Datuk R. Jaya Raj.
