WHILE many are savouring Hari Raya cookies and enjoying the celebration with their families, a large number of our soldiers are away from home keeping the country’s border safe.
Among them are those based high on the hill in the Ban Din Samoe outpost near Baling, Kedah. Located some 800m above sea-level, the outpost bordering Yala Province in southern Thailand is only reachable by air.
