Sibu police give approval for rally at town square

SIBU: Two local promoters of Sarawak for Sarawakians, Tay Swee Teck and Franky Anong, will lead in a parade to mark and celebrate Sarawak’s independence rule from British Colonial government on July 22, 1963.

The parade will take place from 8am to 1pm on July 19 at the town square.
