BERTAM Specialist Hospital Sdn Bhd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bertam Properties Sdn Bhd to set up a hospital in Bertam Perdana, Kepala Batas.
Hospital chairman Wan Burhanuddin Wan Hassan said the idea of setting up the hospital was mooted about two years ago.
“The proposal was to have a capacity of 100 bed, and 100 more beds have been planned.
“Among the fields of focus are women and child, orthopaedic, laparascopical and surgical, health and wellness, opthamalogy, reconstructive and plastic surgery,” he said in his speech before exchanging documents with Bertam Properties group chief executive officer Datuk Roslan Ibrahim during the ceremony recently.
“Phase one is expected to be completed by the end of 2018.”
Also present was Pinang Tunggal assemblyman Datuk Roslan Saidin.
