CCTVs will help reduce Kuching crime rate

KUCHING: The crime rate is expected to fall with the instalment of closed-circuit televisions (CCTVs) in 24 areas in Kuching under the administration of Kuching North City Hall (DBKU).

The identified areas are along Waterfront Kuching, Jalan Kho Hung Yuen, Long Seri Malaysia, Jalan Tar Cat Statue, Medan Pelita Lebuh Wayang, India Street, Kubah Ria, Main Bazaar street, Jalan Gambir, Padang Merdeka, Jalan Keretaapi, Semariang New Township and other locations which are frequented by tourists.
