Keeping traditional crafts alive

Excited group: The pupils posing for a photo with the VIPs after taking part in the School of Craft programme at SRJK (C) Li Tek A in George Town.

HAPPINESS was clearly written on the faces of some 100 pupils from SRJK (C) Li Tek A in Penang when they joined a traditional craft-making workshop.

To top it off, they got to learn the craft from masters in dough figurine-sculpting, Thoranam-weaving, ketupat-weaving, flo-wer garland-making, pandan rose weaving and star lantern-making.
