IT WAS all fun and games during the Chinese New Year open house of Indra Pusaka Sdn Bhd, with more than 200 people joining the festivities.
Held at its Pusat Bandar Ampang site along Jalan Ampang Baru 6, the festive mood was apparent as there were clowns giving away cotton candy and sculpture balloons, lion dance performances and a caricature drawing session.
Its sales and marketing head Iris Cheong said through the open house, buyers would be able to see the progress of the project, comprising 79 units of shop offices.
“We wish to allow the community to see that we are able to deliver what we promise, and the project is already 50% completed since construction began last March.
“Buyers will be able to receive the vacant possession by early 2016,” she said.
Noting the highlight of the project was a new Econsave Hypermart store, Cheong announced that the handover of the building will be done in September.
“They are expected to open their doors for business by December, serving around 50,000 to 70,000 residents living in the Ampang area.
“There will also be a new 20m-wide road, which will allow cars to go from the busy Jalan Ampang Baru 6 into residential areas such as Taman Ampang Indah and Taman Ampang Timur.
“We believe that it would help reduce traffic congestion between Ampang and Tambun,” she said.
Pusat Bandar Ampang is a 7.2ha commercial development project comprising two-storey and three-storey shop offices, and the hypermarket. These properties come under the 99-year leasehold category.
Indra Pusaka’s previous developments include 66 units of double-storey terrace houses in Taman Bercham Indah, 277 units of double-storey terrace houses and shop offices in Taman Tasek Indra, and 100 units of two-storey and three-storey shop offices at Pusat Perdagangan Tasek Indra fronting Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah Utara.
