Doubtful debts burn gas manufacturer

KUCHING: Industrial gases manufacturer SIG Gases Bhd’s (SIG) bottomline has been hit by impairment loss and provision for doubtful debts.

In the fourth quarter to Dec 31,2014 (4Q-2014), SIG incurred group’s pre-tax loss of RM1.29mil, largely due to one-time provision of impairment of RM1.55mil for an air separation plant on cost consideration and doubtful debts of RM260,000. Group revenue was flat at RM16.1mil.
