Two plead not guilty

SIBU: Two men who were arrested in connection with the shooting at two premier shopping centres here on Jan 30 pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court with illegal possession of a homemade shotgun.

Ngu Teck Hing, 23, and Banta Kong, 19, were yesterday charged under Section 8 of the Firearm Act 1971 which carries a jail sentence of up to 14 years and six strokes of whipping if convicted.
